Celebrating the warmth and beauty of Montenegro and its people, Portonovi will be a world-class resort destination. Opening in 2016, Portonovi will feature a superyacht marina, over 500 luxury residential villas and apartments, Europe’s first One&Only Resort, a Henri Chenot Spa, and over 70 retail boutiques, shops and restaurants.

Research, brand strategy, brand positioning, key messaging, naming strategy, name creation, brand identity, tone of voice, brand identity guidelines, copywriting, launch collateral, printed sales & marketing collateral and digital marketing.


Our main challenge with this expansive mixed-use development was to create a brand that was relevant and desirable for both the local community and for the most discerning traveller. From the naming and brand strategy through to the final identity, we drew inspiration from Portonovi’s breathtaking location.


The name Portonovi communicates the marina and community offering whilst including the local vernacular, which is derived from the neighbouring town of Herceg Novi. The logo is a visual representation of where the black mountains of Montenegro meet the blue waters of the Adriatic Sea – a destination of vibrant elegance.
